Spring Has Sprung
Spring is in the air, the leaves are budding in the trees, the clouds are clearing and cherry blossoms are in the quad, whilst it might not be warm outside inside you wouldn’t know it with the school busy with activity. The first, second and third year students are hurrying to meet their hand in dates for the end of the year working feverishly through reading week whilst the fourth years are about to begin the final few weeks in the run up to the Degree Show. The last few weeks before the Degree Show are the busiest most hectic few weeks of any art students time at Gray’s with a phenomenal amount of work produced in a short period of time not to mention the building of the show itself.
With all this going on the school has a very special atmosphere at this time of year and it reminded me of a video I produced last year that tried to capture that feeling of focused production the students have at this time of year. So here it is again, Spring a short film of what the months of April and May are like for an art student here at Grays
