Interview with 2013 Painting Graduate Tomasz Wrobel.

2013 Painting Graduate Tomasz Wrobel speaks with Head of Painting, Keith Grant, about his time at Gray’s and the commission that he was subsequently awarded to produce a Painting for the AquaTerra Group, based in Kintore, Aberdeenshire.

Tomasz discusses the roots of his ideas and how they started to develop over the course of his 3rd year.

Tomasz’s Honours year saw him, though the application of his prodigious drawing skills, produce a series of powerful paintings that gave full reign to the breadth and depth of his imagination.

This new found visual language was deployed to maximum effect in the completion of his commission for AquaTerra which saw Tomasz produce his largest and most complex painting to date.

Tomasz will be one of five 2013 Painting Graduates who will represent Gray’s at the Royal Scottish Academy:New Contemporaries exhibition in Edinburgh, February 2014.
