Gray’s Success At RSA:NC.

Tomasz Wrobel

The opening of the New Contemporaries Exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy last Friday saw three Gray’s students come away with four of the prizes on the night.
Tomasz Wrobel, Painting, won the prestigious £5000 Stevenston Award for a Painter of Merit.  Tomasz was also awarded a David and June Gordon Memorial Award, which came with a one person exhibition at The Nicole Porter Gallery in Aberdeen.

Marie Allan, Printmaking, also received a David and June Gordon Memorial Award and Laura McGlinchey, Painting, won the RSA Art Prize, which included the MacLaine Watters Medal.

The work submitted by all nine students representing Gray’s showed extremely well in what is a very strong exhibition.

Each and every one of them should be proud of their contribution.

The exhibition continues until March 12th 2014.
