Ilija Šoškić will be speaking about his artistic practice, accompanied by Dragica Cakic. Dragica has extensive knowledge of the performance art history from the Balkans, which, over the years has often been buried, deliberately rewritten or badly reported. They will be joined by VestAndPage to also talk in general about performance art in the Balkans. They will also show the film, Zygote. Made in 2011 it is a work dominated by the figure of the artist philosopher. Even in its name it is a powerful metaphor as its meaning alludes to the idea of a new organism, the germ of a new being. Zygote is an illumination of the pure vital forces and energy that nourish the artist’s spirit.
