New Print Facilities at MAKE
MAKE Aberdeen is the cities first digital fabrication studio.
Housed in the 17 space on Belmont Street, this joint venture between Gray’s, RGU and Aberdeen City Council provides a full suite of digital workshop facilities and software. The wide range of rapid prototyping facilities which includes; 3D printers, 3d scanners, lazer and vinyl cutters have now been joined by a large format industrial printer.
The JETRIX KX3 uses special UV inks allowing it to print on to practically any material, wood, metal glass and ceramic can all be printed onto in high photographic quality. Like all the facilities in MAKE, once established the printer will be available to the public and businesses to have prints produced by the printer.
