Gray’s Makes – 3D Router

Amongst the many industrial and craft processes here at Gray’s we have a 3d Router.

This machine takes a 3d model and then carves it into a solid block of material. These parts can then be assembled together for finishing or could be final pieces in themselves.

This process allows the rapid and accurate production of 3d models out of materials that would be impossible to produce with a 3d printer, like a solid block of wood for example.

It is but one of the many workshop based processes available to all students, regardless of their course or area of study here at Gray’s School of Art.
