James Gilchrist (Warriors Studio/Graphic Design Festival Scotland, Glasgow)
James is one of the founders of Warriors Studio, a communication design agency working with companies, organisations and individuals across the cultural, private and public sectors, both locally and internationally. He will talk about his experience of setting up his own business, creativity and about Graphic Design Festival Scotland, one of UKs’ biggest design festivals, which evolved out of Warriors Studio.
Graham Hogg (Lateral North, Glasgow)
Graham co-founded a research & design collective that begun as a student masters project in 2013. They work collaboratively alongside academics, entrepreneurs, economists, politicians and creative professionals and their work incorporates 3D design, architecture, interaction and communication design and is oriented on redefining Scotland’s relationships with Nordic and Arctic neighbours, as well as environmental issues of the region. This year, they did Scotland’s contribution to the Venice Biennale, which is held since 1895 and is considered as one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world.
Mark Kemp (FortyTwo studio, Aberdeen)
Mark founded FortyTwo studio in Aberdeen just 10 months ago. They describe themselves as a broken skater, a cheery goth, a bleeding cowboy, a fresh-faced teuchter, a gin connoisseur and a type geek with a questionable beard. But in fact, they are an award-winning design agency that solves problems, builds brands and launches products while having fun doing it.
